Woodland First Birthday

My second son birthday is in October and what a better fall theme than Woodland?! We he was about 5 months old we were at Powell`s Bookstore and we got the Red Wagon book and I felt in love with the theme. The more I searched for ideas, the more I loved it. My super talented mom hand painted all the animals for the backdrop and brought them all the way from Brazil.

Brigadeiros… of course!!

We made the yummy creamy brigadeiro and caramel jars as party favors and they were a huge success! The

The cupcake holders were hand cut, one by one!!

The homemade pumpkin compote was divine and a major hit!

Look how adorable these felt woodland animals turned out. I`m sure surrounded by a very talented group!

Nohora is so talented! The cake was not only SUPE cute but also very delicious!

We can neve have too many cakes. A dear friend made her specialty: Fresh Strawberries and Chantilly! Major hit!

Little Noah had a lot of fun!!

Sailor Bear First Birthday Party

Our first son was born on 4th of July!! I remember being wheeled from the delivery room after he was born just in time to watch the fireworks through the windows of the hospital. When it came the time to start planning his first birthday party I wanted to have the traditional 4th of July colors but make it into a kids theme. What better red, white and blue than a Sailor Bear? Zach was a easy baby, with long naps, and my second pregnancy (by the time he turned 1 I was 6 months pregnant with our second) was going very smooth. That gave me time to get very creative and work on the little details of the decoration.

The paper decor from Nellie Design totally added a special touch!!

The cake from Melissa was super beautiful and delicious!!

The adult crew did not complain the special treatment for that warm summer day!!

I really enjoyed planning and executing every little detail of this party for our little Zach! And almost immediately after it was over, I started thinking about the next one!

Autumn Welcome Baby Shower

It was really nice to have a pregnant friend at the same I was pregnant. Justine and I were due less than 2 months apart and we got to support each other in many ways. As part of her Native American tradition, instead of a baby shower before the baby was born, we had a Welcome Baby Party. The party happened in October and acorns have a special place on Justine`s heart! Autumn seemed to be a perfect theme! I was lucky that my little guy was a great napper and I was able to craft many little details to celebrate the arrival of baby Isla.

The pumpkin cinnamon cake and lemon and chocolate cupcakes were able to please many different tastes. And the guests were able to take home some brigadeiro spread! The passion fruit mousse and almond chocolate bonbons were a success!

Greeting cards were consecutively numbered for the guests to leave a message to the Birthday Card Time Capsule!

We love this little family and it was a great honor to host this party!
